Labour-Supply Agreement
This agreement applies when you book day-rate drivers for site or depot work. It is in addition to our Terms of Service.
Last updated: 4 July 2026
1. What this covers
We supply day-rate drivers for site or depot work — for example a shift of multi-drop deliveries — instead of you posting individual jobs. This agreement sets out the terms specific to that service; the general Terms of Service (section 18) also apply.
2. Status of the drivers
Drivers supplied for day-rate work are independent, self-employed contractors. They are not employees or workers of your business or of DropNPickUp. Depending on the circumstances, day-rate engagements can carry tax and employment-status implications (including the off-payroll working / IR35 rules). Each party is responsible for its own tax and status position and should take its own advice.
3. On site
You must provide a safe place of work, accurate instructions, and anything reasonably needed for the work. Drivers must follow reasonable site rules and applicable law. You are responsible for the suitability and safety of the site and the tasks you assign.
4. Bookings, charges and cancellation
You book by date, start time and location. The day rate for a full or half day is shown when you book and/or set out in your contract, and is charged from your wallet, credit balance or as otherwise agreed. The price shown when you confirm — including any surcharges and overtime described below — is the price that applies.
Weekend and out-of-hours. Shifts on a Saturday or Sunday, and shifts that start outside normal working hours (currently before 08:00, or from 18:00 onwards), carry a surcharge on the day rate. These are currently +25% for a Saturday, +50% for a Sunday and +25% for an out-of-hours start; where more than one applies they are added together up to a cap (currently +50%). The surcharge applies to the whole shift and is shown before you confirm.
Overtime.Day rates cover a standard working day. A half-day booking that runs materially beyond half a day is charged at the full-day rate; and where your contract sets an overtime rate and a cut-off time, a full day worked past that cut-off is charged for the additional time at the agreed hourly overtime rate. Overtime is calculated from the driver’s recorded finish time and shown on completion.
Notice. Because we assign a driver to each booking, bookings you make yourself require a minimum period of notice before the shift starts (currently 12 hours). For same-day or shorter-notice work, contact us on 020 3432 2421 and we’ll do our best to help.
Cancellation. Cancelling a booking close to the start may incur a charge, shown when you book, to compensate drivers for committed time.
5. Liability
Our liability is limited as set out in the Terms of Service. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of the self-employed drivers we supply, except to the extent caused by our own breach or negligence.
6. Accepting this agreement
